Kites and King's

A walk around the Sale Common last week produced a couple of surprises, as the common has been devoid of birds except for a few Pelicans. Counted 74 on this day. It must have been a day for the Kites and Kingfishers. 3 Whistling Kites and 2 Azure Kingfishers.

Winter First

Went out to the back yard this morning after hearing what sounded like a juvenile King Parrot calling. Sure enough there were four in the   Claret ash tree. Took some pics, but difficult to get good photos with all the small branches, so here they are. The first was in the Golden Ash.
